- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. fruit jam
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 egg yolks
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Beat egg yolks and vanilla.

3With a wooden spoon, gradually work in flour until blended.

4Chill if necessary.

5Shape into 1-inch balls and place 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

6Press hole in the center, using a floured sewing thimble and fill with jam.

7Bake at 325° until brown on bottom, but not on the top, about 25 minutes.

8Store in tightly covered tin box.

9Makes about 4 dozen.
