Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chuck roast, browned
  • 4 qt. water
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • 3 leeks, chopped
  • 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 turnips, chopped
  • 1/2 small cabbage
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 3 to 4 potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 bag frozen green beans
  • 1 bag frozen lima beans
  • 1 bag frozen corn
  • 1 bag frozen okra
  • 1 bag frozen peas
  • 2 tsp. Wyler's beef granules

Directions

    Brown the chuck roast.

    Save bones.

    Bring water to a boil. On top of meat add Wyler's.

    Add the onion, tomatoes, leeks and celery and cook for 2 hours.

    Add turnips, cabbage, carrots and potatoes and cook for 30 minutes.

    Add beans, lima beans, corn, okra and peas and cook for another 30 minutes.
