Ingredients

  • 1 can tomato puree (passata)
  • 1 can tomatoes, canned, crushed
  • 6 pounds ground beef, extra lean ground
  • 2 cups onions minced
  • 1 cup red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup oregano dried
  • 1 can kidney beans, canned drained
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese grated
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 4 cups sweet vidalia onions minced

Directions

    Combine beef and onions in a stockpot.

    Over a moderate flame heat and stir for 15 to 20 minutes, until browned.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.
