  • 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, diced
  • 1/2 cup (packed) grated sharp cheddar cheese (about 2 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup (packed) grated Monterey Jack cheese (about 2 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (about 1 1/2 ounces)
  • 2/3 cup chilled buttermilk

    Whisk first 5 ingredients in medium bowl to blend.

    Add butter and rub in with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse meal.
