Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 c. water
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. dry minced onions
  • 8 to 10 bay leaves
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Brown ground beef and drain well.

    Add remaining ingredients, except cornstarch.

    Simmer 30 to 40 minutes.

    Skim off excess grease.

    Remove bay leaves and add enough water to cornstarch to make paste that will pour.

    Add to chili.

    Allow to thicken.
