  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 egg whites, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts

Directions

    Beat ingredients together.

    Roll dough into walnut sized balls. Roll in slightly beaten egg whites, then roll in finely chopped nuts.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Make thumbprint in each cookie.

    Bake in 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
