  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 (13 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. almond extract

    Preheat oven to 350°. Heat sugar in small skillet over medium heat, stirring often, until syrup turns an even amber color, about 5 minutes. Divide into 6-ounce custard cups - 10 of them (about 1 teaspoon for each cup). Set cups aside.
