- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- fruit preserves
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except preserves.

3Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed, 2 to 3 minutes.

4Shape rounded teaspoonful of dough into 1-inch balls.

5Place 1-inch apart on greased cookie sheets. Make a depression in the center of each cookie with the back of a teaspoon.

6Bake 8 minutes. Remove from oven.

7Fill centers with preserves.

8Continue baking 6 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
