- 4 cups bread cubes (1/2 loaf makes about 4 cups)
- 12 cup butter, melted
- 12 cup finely cut onion
- 12 cup finely cut celery
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon thyme
Directions

1A few days before, tear bread into small cubes.

2Allow to sit out to stale up.

3Combine all ingredients except bread in frying pan.

4Saute slowly until vegetables are slightly transparent.

5Stir in bread cubes until all are coated with butter and ingredients are mixed evenly.

6Stuff into bird at both ends.

7Skewer openings closed.
