- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup keifer buttermilk, low-fat milk
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients.

2cut shortening into dry ingredients until flour is pea size.

3mix egg and keifer/milk.

4add egg to flour mixture.

5stir until moist- knead on flour board 10 times- roll to 1/2 inch- use your favorite biscuit cutter.

6bake in 450 oven for 10-12 minutes.
