- 4 c. warm water
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening or cream
- 1 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Put water in pan and sugar and yeast.

2Let the yeast dissolve when it comes to top of water.

3Sift flour in a baking pan and put salt, then your yeast mixture and shortening that is soft enough to mix and mix with your hands until it is stiff.

4Let rise, then punch down and let rise again and put in pan.

5Let rise to double and bake in 350° oven about 55 minutes.
