- 1 1/2 c. regular rice
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 3 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. finely diced celery
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Spread rice in shallow pan and toast until light brown, about 20 minutes in 350° oven.

2Stir occasionally.

3Place rice in large pan.

4Add water and salt and bring to a boiling point.

5Cover tightly, lower heat and simmer 14 minutes.

6Remove lid and let rice steam until just dry.
