  • 6 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. slivered almonds
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Place all ingredients in heavy saucepan.

    Bring to a boil. Cover and cook for 3 minutes.

    Uncover and continue to cook, leaving spoon in.

    Cook until candy thermometer reaches 300°. Pour into greased cookie sheet.

    Freeze.

    Break into serving pieces when cold.
