- 1 1/2 c. butter
- margarine (to butter pan)
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Melt butter over low heat.

2Stir in sugar; stir until butter and sugar are not separated any more.

3Blend in nuts, water and syrup.

4Place candy thermometer in mixture and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches 300°.

5Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

6Pour onto well buttered pan and let cool.

7You can melt chocolate and spread over top.

8Break into pieces and enjoy!
