- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Combine first 6 ingredients and boil slowly, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.

2Continue cooking to 250°, stirring occasionally until a few drops of syrup form a hard ball when dropped in cold water.

3Add vanilla and chopped nuts.

4Pour into greased 8-inch square pan.

5When cool, cut into strips.
