- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 bars (7/8 oz. each) milk chocolate candy
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease baking pan, 13 x 9-inch.

3Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla.

4Blend in flour and salt.

5Press evenly in bottom of pan.

6Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until very light brown (crust will be soft).

7Remove from oven; immediately place separated squares of chocolate candy on crust.

8Let chocolate soften, then spread evenly.

9Sprinkle with nuts.

10While warm, cut into bars, 2 x 1 1/2-inch.

11Makes 32 cookies.
