- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted after measuring
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Cream the butter, sugar and flavorings in large bowl with electric mixer.

3Add flour and salt; mix well. Stir in chips and nuts.

4Spread into an ungreased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.

5Bake for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned.

6While warm, cut into bars and cool in pan.

7Store in airtight tin.

8Freeze well.
