12 steps

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter, Melted
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoons Dry Mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoons Ginger
  • 4 whole (Individual Serving Size) Salmon Fillets

Directions

  1. 1
Note: Youll also need a food-safe cedar grilling plank (see note below for prep of the plank).
  2. 2
In a small bowl stir together the glaze ingredients (everything except the salmon) until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. 3
To grill fish on a cedar plank: Brush the pre-heated plank with 2 tablespoons of the glaze.
  4. 4
Then place the salmon fillets on the plank.
  5. 5
Brush the remaining glaze over the fish.
  6. 6
Grill for 20-30 minutes (no need to turn the fish) over medium heat, or until done.
  7. 7
Note: Cedar planks need to be soaked covered in water for a minimum of 4 hours before using.
  8. 8
Then remove the planks from the water before grilling.
  9. 9
For best results, preheat the grill to medium (400 F).
  10. 10
Place the plank on the grill for exactly 5 minutes to preheat.
  11. 11
Flip the plank and immediately place the sauce/meat on the hot side.
  12. 12
    Try to grill without peeking.
