Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except vanilla and cook in top of double boiler over rapidly boiling water, beating with electric mixer until mixture stands in peaks.

    Remove from heat.

    Add vanilla and continue beating until of spreading consistency.
