- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 lb. sweet chocolate, melted
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream butter; add sugar gradually.

2Blend in egg yolk, vanilla, salt and flour.

3Spread in greased 10 x 15 x 1-inch pan. Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes.

4(Turn heat down if edges are browning too fast.)

5Spread while hot with melted chocolate. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

6Cool and cut into small squares. Makes about 6 dozen.
