Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar
  • 1 c. finely chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream butter, add brown sugar and mix until light and fluffy. Add beaten egg yolk, vanilla and sifted flour.

    Spread thinly on jelly roll-size pan.

    Bake at 350° about 15 to 20 minutes or until light brown.

    Melt chocolate in top of double boiler, spread on cookie surface while still warm.

    Sprinkle nuts on top.

    Cut in squares while warm and let cool.
