  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup long grain rice cooked
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 each egg whites
  • 1 x nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 3/4 cups mushrooms sliced
  • 27 ounces beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons water

Directions

    Combine ground round, onion, rice, pepper, and egg white in a medium sized bowl; stir well.

    Divide mixture into 6 equal portions; shape each portion into 1 inch thick patty.

    Coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray.

    Heat over medium high heat until hot.

    Add patties and cook until browned on both sides (about 4 minutes per side).

    Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

    Wipe skillet clean with a paper towel.

    Coat skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium high heat.

    Add mushrooms; saute 5 minutes.
