- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. coconut
- 1 c. nuts
Directions

1Mix shortening, brown sugar, salt and flour.

2Put in 9 x 11-inch pan and bake at 325° for 15 minutes.

3Mix brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, coconut and nuts. Spread over baked mixture.

4Return to oven and bake 25 minutes. Cut into bars when cool.
