Ingredients

  • 1 - 14 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 - 14 ounce can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1/3 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 cup V - 8 juice
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

    Combine tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, onion, bacon crumbles, sugar, bay leaves, garlic, chicken bouillon, V - 8 juice, salt and pepper in a large sauce pan. Mix well.

    Simmer 1 hour.

    Serve hot with homemade croutons.
