- 2 (16 oz.) cans peeled tomatoes
- 1 large onion
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 to 3 slices bread, crumbled
- 1 c. sharp cheese, shredded
Directions

1Put tomatoes and onion in saucepan.

2Bring to a boil and add margarine, sugar, salt and oregano.

3Cook for 5 minutes.

4Add bread.

5Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.

6Top with cheese.

7Bake uncovered at 325° for 20 minutes.
