- tomatoes, cut in chunks (without peeling)
- 1 c. onions
- 7 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1 1/2 qt. vinegar
- 1 tsp. red pepper or ginger
Directions

1Cook the tomatoes with the onions.

2Run through sieve.

3Use 8 quarts tomatoes.

4Add the remaining ingredients.

5Boil down until thick.

6Leave in kettle until cold.

7Put into bottles; will not have to be sealed.
