- 10 lb. tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 c. onions, chopped fine
- 3 red peppers
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 2 tsp. each: cinnamon, cloves, allspice, celery salt and mustard
- 3 c. vinegar
Directions

1Cook tomatoes, peppers and onions without adding water until soft.

2Press mixture through a sieve.

3Combine pulp, vinegar, sugar, salt and spices tied in a muslin bag and cook rapidly over full gas flame until thick, stirring to prevent burning (about 45 minutes).

4Pour into hot sterilized containers and seal.

5Makes about 3 quarts.
