- tomatoes (very slightly green)
- butter
- flour
- milk
- salt
- pepper
- sugar
Directions

1After frying tomatoes, add butter to last pan.

2Add 3 or 4 slices of tomatoes.

3Fry, but not very brown.

4Mash.

5Add a little more butter.

6Add about half as much flour as butter. Brown a little.

7Add milk to right consistency.

8Add a little sugar, salt and pepper to taste.

9Bring to boil; serve over bread. Makes one serving.
