Tomato Macaroni

- 1 (16 oz.) tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. salt
- 2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Heat tomatoes, butter, 1 teaspoon salt and the oregano to a boil.

2Reduce heat, simmer 10 or 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3While tomato sauce cooks, heat 6 cups of water and 3 teaspoons of salt to a boil.

4Add macaroni and heat to a boil. Boil, uncovered, stirring occasionally 7 to 10 minutes or until tender.

5Drain and put macaroni into serving dish, pour sauce on macaroni and sprinkle with cheese.

6Serves 6.
