- 4 to 5 carrots
- 6 stems celery
- 2 medium onions
- 1 can green beans
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Cut into pieces (as for soup) the first 3 ingredients.

2Add a little salt.

3Simmer in the juice of the tomatoes.

4Add water sparingly to cover until tender.

5Add cut up tomatoes and green beans.

6Add 3 to 4 tablespoons margarine.

7Simmer, adding one tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in water to thicken.
