- 8 c. sugar
- 2 lemons, sliced thin

1Scald, peel and quarter tomatoes.

2Add sugar.

3Let stand overnight. Drain off juices and boil rapidly, until it spins a thread.

4Add tomatoes and lemons; boil until thick and clear. Pour into sterilized jars and seal with lids as filled.
