Ingredients
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1 c. medium onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 heaping Tbsp. flour
- 2 (1 lb.) cans stewed tomatoes with green pepper
- 2 1/2 c. bread cubes, toasted
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
Directions

1Saute celery and onions in butter to just tender.

2Blend in flour; mix well.

3Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, sugar and mustard. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs.

4Pour into a well-greased 1 1/2-quart casserole and bake for 30 minutes.

5Put remaining 1 cup bread cubes on top.

6Sprinkle with grated cheese.

7Bake for additional 10 minutes.

8Serves 6 to 8.
