  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 large garlic cloves, mashed
  • 16 sprigs fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 (1 lb.) cans plum tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1/2 lb. piece chuck roast
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 6 Tbsp. Romano cheese

Directions

    Combine the olive oil and butter in a saucepan.

    Chop parsley and garlic and add to pan.

    Cook on low for 5 minutes.

    Add salt and pepper.

    Drain tomatoes (chopping the solid ones); add with the oregano.

    Cook slowly for 30 minutes.
