- 1 bushel tomatoes
- 6 lb. onions
- 2 stalks celery
- 4 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 2 pods red peppers or about 1 Tbsp., crushed
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 c. cornstarch
- 1 c. salt
- 2 c. butter
Directions

1Cut celery and onions.

2Add pepper and bring to boil.

3Add quartered tomatoes.

4Cook until tender and strain.

5Return to pot and add remainder of ingredients.

6Bring to a hard boil.

7Boil about 5 to 10 minutes. Put in cans or jars.
