- 3/4 c. shortening or margarine
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 11 oz. can tomato soup
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon, nutmeg and ground cloves
Directions

1Cream shortening (or more) and sugar.

2Add eggs; beat well.

3In another bowl, combine soup, water and soda.

4Sift together in separate bowl the dry ingredients.

5Add dry ingredients and soup alternately to cream mixture.

6Mix well and bake in 9 x 13-inch baking pan in 350° oven for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

7Frost with cream cheese frosting.
