- 6 whole tomatoes (canned 2 large)
- 4 slices bread (French bread works better)
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 Tbsp. basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Remove skins from tomatoes and quarter.

2Place tomatoes in buttered casserole.

3Melt butter.

4Add garlic and basil.

5Cube bread; add to seasoned butter.

6Saute bread cubes over low heat for few minutes.

7Spread bread cubes over tomatoes; top with cheese.

8Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
