Tops' Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. lean ground pork
  • 3/4 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 5 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
  • 2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
  • salt, pepper and red pepper to taste
  • chopped green onions and fresh parsley
  • 4 c. crumbled cornbread
  • paprika

Directions

    Brown pork in skillet, approximately 10 minutes.

    Mix ground meat with pork and cook an additional 10 minutes.

    Add onions and celery to meat mixture and saute 15 minutes.

    Add soup and broth to meat mixture and heat thoroughly.

    Check seasonings.

    This can be spicy because you will add the cornbread to it.

    Remove from heat and add the crumbled cornbread.

    Add chopped green onions and chopped fresh parsley.
