- 8 7/16 cups milk
- 8 tablespoons sugar
- cinnamon stick
- ground cinnamon
- 2 loaves bread stale
- 4 eggs
- sunflower oil
Directions

1Heat the milk with the half of the sugar and the cinnamon stick in a large pot on medium heat. Sprinkle in some ground cinnamon and mix well. Once it boils, remove the pot from the stove.

2Strain the milk and let it cool.

3Cut the loaves of bread into 2- to 3-centimeter thick slices and soak in the milk completely and place them on a tray.

4Beat the eggs and use it to cover each slice.

5Fry in very hot sunflower oil.

6Place them on paper towel to remove excess oil and let them cool.

7In a bowl, mix the remaining sugar and some ground cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of the fried Torrijas and serve.
