Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
  • 1 (15 oz.) can Ranch-style beans
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
  • 1 c. frozen cut corn
  • 6 corn tortillas, torn into large pieces

Directions

    Brown ground beef with onion and all spices.

    Add all other ingredients, except tortillas, and simmer for 1 hour.

    About 5 minutes before serving, add tortillas, continuing to simmer. Serve hot with cornbread.
