  • 2 lb. lean ground pork
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 large potatoes

Directions

    Combine meats, onion, salt and water.

    Cook slowly for 45 minutes.

    Add spices; cook 15 minutes longer.

    Let stand to let flavors blend.

    Cook potatoes.

    Mash while hot; mix immediately with meat mixture.

    Place in a pie shell.

    Cover with top shell; lattice style if desired.
