- 1 lb. hamburger
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 3 qt. water
- 1 c. potatoes, diced
- 1 c. carrots, sliced
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 c. green beans (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. raw rice
Directions

1Brown hamburger in small amount of cooking oil in frying pan. Place the browned hamburger and all the remaining ingredients in a 6-quart kettle.

2Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, until vegetables are done.
