Traditional Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 4 slices bread torn into small pieces
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 6 c. prepared cornbread (crumbled)
- 1 tsp. dried sage
- 3 c. chicken broth
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Grease 13x9 inch baking dish or pan. In small skillet, cook and stir onion and celery in butter until tender.

3In large bowl, combine cooked celery mixture, cornbread, bread, sage, and black pepper.

4Mix well.

5Add broth and eggs to cornbread mixture.

6Mix well.

7Pour into greased baking dish. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.

8Makes 10 servings.
