  • 1 pound Minced Pork
  • 1/4 cups Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Sage
  • 1 dash Pepper
  • 1/4 cups Boiling Water
  • 1- 1/2 cup Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 whole 9-inch Pie Crusts, Store-Bought Or Homemade

    In a large skillet (preferably cast iron), combine pork, onion, seasonings and water.

    Simmer uncovered until meat is cooked (about 25 minutes), stirring occasionally.

    Cool and skim off fat.

    Stir in potatoes.

    Line a pie plate with half of the pastry.

    Fill with the pork mixture.

    Cover with the second half of the pastry and seal the edges.

    Cut steam vents on top.

    Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees.

    Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking until crust is golden brown (about 30 minutes).
