  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 14 cup onion, chopped
  • 14 cup celery, chopped
  • 13 cup butter
  • 13 cup flour
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon basil
  • 18 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 12 cups milk
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 12 cup canned mushroom, drained
  • 14 cup parsley, snippets
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon bacon drippings
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

    Place bacon drippings in skillet.

    Add onion and celery to skillet.

    Cook until vegetables are crisp and tender.

    Set aside.

    Heat butter in pan.

    Stir in flour, salt, basil and pepper.

    Slowly add milk.
