Tuna Or Chicken Casserole

  • 1 c. converted rice, cooked as directed
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can green peas (17 oz.)
  • 1 can tuna, broken into chunks (or chicken)
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped pimiento (optional)

Directions

    Add egg to cooked rice when cool enough.

    Spoon into 1 1/2-quart round buttered baking dish on the bottom and up sides of 1/2-inch wide rim.

    Mix Cheddar cheese soup and Worcestershire sauce.

    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat and stir in green peas, tuna, sliced mushrooms and chopped pimiento. Pour into rice shell.

    Cover and bake at 375° for 20 minutes, until hot throughout.
