Tuna Potato Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna, drained
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 can English peas
  • 2 c. mashed potatoes, cooked
  • 1 Tbsp. butter for top of casserole

Directions

    Melt 4 tablespoons butter.

    Add flour, stirring until smooth. Add milk slowly.

    Stir all the time until mixture is bubbly. Reduce heat and cook 3 minutes.

    Add salt, pepper, tuna, peas and onions.

    Continue cooking until onions soften.

    Place in baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes, dot with butter.

    Bake at 450° for 15 minutes or until top is brown.
