- 1 pie crust mix for 1 (9-inch) pie crust
- butter or margarine
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 small green pepper, diced (optional)
- 1 (6 1/2 to 7 oz.) can tuna, drained and coarsely flaked
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. half and half
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1About 1 1/2 hours before serving, prepare pie crust mix as label directs.

2Use to line a 9-inch pie plate.

3Spread crust with 1 tablespoon softened butter or margarine.

4Preheat oven to 425°. In a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, put 3 tablespoons hot butter or margarine; cook onion and pepper until tender, stirring occasionally.

5Remove pan from heat; stir in tuna.

6Spoon tuna mixture into prepared pie crust.
