  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup commercial sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon dried whole dill weed
  • 3 tablespoons capers, drained (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 small cucumber, peeled and cubed (about 1 cup)
  • 2 (6 1/2-ounce) cans tuna, drained and flaked
  • 6 medium tomatoes, peeled
  • Leaf lettuce

Directions

    Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, horseradish, dill weed, capers, if desired, and salt in a medium mixing bowl, stirring well. Add cucumber and tuna, stirring well. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.

    Cut each tomato into 8 wedges, cutting to, but not through, base of tomato. Spread wedges apart to form shell. Spoon tuna salad into tomato shells. Place on a lettuce-lined serving plate. Serve immediately.
