Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 (7 oz.) jar red peppers, drained
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1/4 c. dry vermouth
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 4 (1 to 1 1/2-inch thick) fresh tuna steaks (about 3 1/2 lb.)
Directions

1Cut onion into quarters.

2Combine all ingredients except tuna and blend in blender or food processor.

3Process until smooth. Place tuna in large glass baking dish.

4Pour sauce over fish and turn to coat with pepper sauce.

5Cover and refrigerate for several hours.

6Preheat grill.

7Place tuna on well-greased grill over medium heat.

8May use fresh jalapenos or other peppers instead of jar of peppers.

9May be made without vermouth.
