Ingredients
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 large clove garlic, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes in tomato puree
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1/4 c. shredded cheese (for garnish)
Directions

1Saute onion and garlic in oil in large skillet over medium heat until tender.

2Crumble turkey into skillet.

3Cook until brown. Stir in chili powder, oregano and salt.

4Cook a few seconds.

5Stir in tomatoes.

6Bring mixture to boil.

7Lower heat, cover and cook slowly for 30 minutes.

8Add water, if necessary.

9Stir in beans; cook thoroughly.
